At the beginning of the year 20 7th and 8th grade students were selected based on auditions to create the first ever AHJS Chamber Choir. They rehearsed during FLEX and outside of school, and their extra time and effort paid off this month. Our first big performance of the month was in Austin at the Texas State Capitol! We toured the Capitol, performed in the rotunda, and were even invited to sit in chambers by Representative Steve Allison. Another major performance took place at Fox News Studios. Students were invited by Ernie Zuniga to tape a performance which will be airing on KABB Fox News on Christmas morning between 5am and 9am. Congratulations to these students and all they have accomplished! |
